ON behalf of the Lamerton Parish Hall Committee may I express my sincere thanks to Daniel Worth for running in the London Marathon last April and donating the whole of his sponsor money totalling £1,695.80 to the Lamerton Sports and Community Centre Project.

We are deeply indebted to him, the group/organisations and 400+ individuals who so kindly sponsored him.

Special thanks to Alison Stacey and Carolyn Hill, organisers of the Lamerton Summer Fair held on the Recreation Field in Lamerton on July 12.

It was a great pleasure for us to work with Lamerton School and the Little Lambs Playgroup on the field and we are most appreciative of the £320.33 cheque they kindly donated to the new hall project.

Sunday July 27 saw a barbecue and Land Rover Obstacle Challenge at Great Haye, Lamerton, by kind permission of Roger, Erica and Matthew Young. The event was extremely well supported with £1,047.76 going into the new hall account.

We say a very big thank you to everyone who has helped, contributed to and supported these wonderful fundraising activities. Your support for this project is always so very much appreciated.
