HOURS of preparation and rehearsals will culminate in the Callington Mayfest this Saturday (May 11.)
The highlight of the event will be the first ever Callington furry dance which will see dancers, of all ages, process through the town, starting at the Saltash Road Recreation Ground.
There will be a quick run through of the dance at 12.30pm before the procession sets off to the town centre led by Callington Town Band.
They will be joined by musicians from the Calstock Rubber Band, members of the Scratch Orchestra and others who have been to the Saturday music workshops.
Morris dancers and Breton dancers will also take part and the day will include displays, live music and Maypole dancing from local primary school children.
Mayfest will conclude with an evening of traditional Cornish music and dance from the band Skillywidden.
