SHOOTING champion Georgina Geikie was guest of honour when Lloyds TSB in Okehampton unveiled its new look branch this week. Also at the opening were the Mayor and Mayoress of Okehampton, Cllr Michael and Mary Morse.

Georgina is one of more than 270 Lloyds TSB 'Local Heroes' to receive funding this year as part of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The branch on Fore Street has undergone weeks of refurbishment and aims to create an environment that connects with customers and the local community. The British landscape and landmarks chosen by branch staff help emphasise Lloyds TSB's role in local communities.

Bank manager, Julie Winsor, said: 'We've really listened to our customers and hope to give them a much more personal experience — we're sure they're going to appreciate the changes. Shops on the high street are becoming more and more inviting places to be and there's no reason your bank shouldn't feel the same.'

Staff at the branch thanked their customers for putting up with the disruption during the refurbishment works.
