THIS year, West Devon country house hotel and restaurant, the Horn of Plenty, hits a landmark of 21 years of supporting local charities through its charity lunches.
From Monday, January 14 until Friday, March 1, everyday except Sundays, guests can enjoy a delicious lunch overlooking the Tamar Valley, priced at £15 for two courses, or £19 for three courses.
At the end of their meal, diners are encouraged to make a donation to Macmillan Cancer Support.
Julie Leivers, owner of the hotel, said: 'We are delighted to be raising funds for people affected by cancer as it is a cause that is very close to all our hearts.
'We are very proud of our tradition of supporting local charities and we want to continue to make a difference in our local community.'
Sian Harris, fundraising manager for Macmillan Cancer Support, said: 'Last year, the Horn of Plenty's customers were so generous and raised more than £6,500.
'That provided 260 hours of care from a Macmillan nurse and made a difference to the lives of so many people.
'We are so grateful to the Horn of Plenty for their support again in 2013 as we rely totally on donations to continue our work.
'We have more than 10,000 people diagnosed in Devon and Cornwall every year; that equates to 27 people every day being told they have cancer and having to face the toughest fight.
'Thanks to the generosity of supporters like the Horn of Plenty customers, they won't have to face the fight alone, as Macmillan is investing more than £4-million in servies across Devon and Cornwall this year alone.'
