LYDFORD School pupils have sent 25 boxes of Christmas presents to the Love in a Box scheme for children who have never had a Christmas present.
Teacher Mrs Barbara Earnshaw arranged for Jill Baird, co-ordinator of the Love in a Box scheme, to talk to the children about it. Everyone at the school was so interested in the scheme, which sends boxes to various countries, that they wanted to take part.
The boxes sent included a range of items from toothbrushes, soap, toys and chocolate to hats and gloves. The children hope to receive some letters next year from the children who receive the gifts.
