THE 2004 sheep dog trial season is underway with a two-day event, taking place at Trethern, Delabole, on May 8 and 9.
There were eight separate trials held on the two days, all being qualifiers for the English National Trials to be held at Newhaven, Sussex, in August.
Competitors travelled from many parts of England and Wales, making competition keen. Judges: Tony Griffiths, Lydney; Terry Coles, Bridford; Gwillam Hopkins, Wales; John Thomas, Aylesbury; Tom Cox, Whitchurch.
