Tavistock U15s 26
Saltash U15s 7
AFTER early forrays, deep into Tavistocks final 22, where the homeside defended superbly, Tavistock started to enjoy a period of territorial advantage, culminating in four tries in the first half.
The first try was scored by Max Gratton, who managed to free himself from the tight maul, to scamper over the line from 20 yards. The second was scored by George Glover, after a lovely handling move via the whole of the back division, to score another well finished try.
The third try being scored by Roger Blundford, again created by a superb team effort, who deserved his try for an excellent performance throughout the day.
Again the try was well finished, after a good passage of play. The fourth was touched down by Chris Swash, who having received the ball from scrumhalf Tom Rouson, crashed through two tackles, to cross the line. Despite the windy conditions Chris Swash kicked the conversions superbly.
After the break, Saltash enjoyed most of the territory, because of the weather conditions, but only managed to score one try.
There where some notable performances from this game and overall it was pleasing for the home supporters to see the vast improvement.
