CHILDREN from Key Stage 1 and 2 at Tavistock Community Primary School were given an important fire and safety talk by members of Green Watch at Plympton Fire Brigade recently.
The children were taught about the dangers of smoke and matches, and how important it is to make sure fire alarms are working in the home.
They were then shown the fire appliance and everyone had a go at using the fire hose! Headteacher Lynette Selbie said how grateful she was to Green Watch for giving up their time to come to talk to the children, and praised the children for their thoughtful input into the morning's activities.
