A GROUND-breaking project aimed at making people more employable through education will be officially launched at Roadford Lake, near Lewdown, tomorrow.
The ?Green Bridge? project, run by South West Lakes Trust, assists personal development, confidence building, communication, team work, and social skills in people over 16 in Devon who are normally put off by the word ?education?.
Ben Bradshaw MP will launch the two-year programme, which was made possible by funding from the Learning and Skills Council.
The course provides training in estate management and watersports, with the opportunity to link into further training and qualifications at Bicton College.
The programme includes traditional skills such as hedge laying, tractor driving and environmental awareness.
