PARENTS have until Monday to vote on who should become the three new parent governors at Tavistock College.

Ten people have been nominated which is an 'extremely healthy sign' according to college principal John Simes.

'It shows we have so many enthusiastic parents who are eager to serve the college in this way,' he said.

'It challenges the

national trend where many schools experience difficulty in finding enough people willing to stand,' said Mr Simes.

'We certainly value parents who are enthused about education and have the skills to bring to the strategic management of our college.'

The nominees are David Conn, Kevin Eady, Thomas Goodison, Judy Gray, Sara Horsley, Ian Hugo, Martin Legg, Jeremy Speller, Nigel Westwood and Rosemary Whitehouse.

Details of the candidates and personal statements can be obtained on the college website: http://www.tavistockcollege">www.tavistockcollege.
