INSPIRED by a talk given last September by David Glover, network coordinator and response team member for ShelterBox, Yelverton Ladies' Open Group named the organisation as its charity for the year and pledged to raise £590 in support of their work throughout the world.

Each large ShelterBox costs £590 and is tailored to an individual disaster but typically contains a disaster relief tent, blankets, waterstorage and purification equipment, cooking utensils, a stove,  basic tool kit and importantly a children's activity pack.
