LADY golfers competed at Yelverton Golf Club in the September four ball, better ball open.

The winners were Belinda McSherry (Tavistock) and Gillian Down (Holsworthy) with 39 points; second were B Perriton and J Lee (Staddiscombe), 38; 3, M Dummett and S Baker-Butler (Teignmouth) 38 points; 4, V Steer and A Hawky (St Enedoc) 38; 5 Teresa Holt and Penny Hunter (Yelverton) 37.

Best Yelverton pair, Penny Hunter and Teresa Holt received the Joan Foster Trophy.

Nearest the pin on the sixth was A Balfour from Torquay and most accurate drive on the second was H Nott from Saunton; twos, P Affleck (Torquay) and J Miller (E Devon).
