CARVING artwork out of stone was on the agenda at Hatherleigh Community Centre during a special workshop last month.

The workshop was led by art teacher Netty Halwill, and offered art enthusiasts the chance to try their hand at an unusual medium at the workshop event.

Netty lives in Hatherleigh, and leads the Free Range Art group who meet at the community centre once a week.

Much like the stone carving workshop, the sessions are a relaxed and friendly atmosphere for local people to share their artwork in a range of mediums and socialise with those with a shared interest.
