A PROJECT to create kneelers for a West Devon church has proved so popular, another church is now set to benefit from the scheme.
Volunteers took so enthusiastically to the kneeler project for St Mary?s Church in South Zeal they have now almost finished their task.
But several of the volunteer embroiderers enjoyed the work so much they are now turning their attention to St Andrew?s Church in South Tawton.
Following agreement from the parochial church council, the volunteers are aiming to produce a set of 40 kneelers for St Andrew?s ? and the council has offered to provide funds towards the £25 per kneeler needed for canvas and wool.
Local fundraising events will make up any shortfall, so volunteer embroiderers just need to give up their time.
The kneelers can be of any design, on a blue or red background, and can be dedicated in memory of a loved one or a special event.
