PETER Tavy Village Hall is looking forward to a hilarious visit from well-known entertainer Sid Kipper on Friday, February 8. Sid promises a mixture of stand-up comedy, stories and quirky songs when he delivers his 'Country Cod Pieces' show, which starts at 7.30pm
Sid 'the Rhinestone Ploughboy' Kipper has worked on BBC Radio 2 as a presenter, acted as a roving reporter for Radio 4's 'Kaleidoscope', written books and still finds time to perform his songs, stories and anecdotes across the country.
He will take the audience to strange places, meeting peculiar people (many of them his relatives!) and delivering entertaining folk wisdom from his home village of 'St Just-near-Trunch', in darkest Norfolk.
Tickets £4 adults, £3 children, senior citizens and unwaged. Family tickets (for two adults and two children) £12 from Jill (810844), Alison (810868) or Angela (810243). The evening's entertainment is supported through the 'Villages in Action' scheme.
