KELLY College kept up their record of always returning from the national biathlon championships with excellent results by coming home this year with three firsts, two seconds and one third. The youth D boys (11/12 years) ? Cameron Carpenter Warren, Oliver Lake and Samuel Straughan ? were placed 5th, 16th and 33rd respectively in the individual event, which gave them second place in the team event. Sam did well to place fourth in the run and Cameron and Oliver both produced personal best times in the swim. Youth C boys (13/14 years) were represented by Lawrence Oxborough (19th), Andrew Chesters (28th) and Michael Wallis (34th) giving them third place in the team event. Youth B boys (15/16 years): Kelly College had two teams of boys in this event, Alex Richards (11th), Joshua Lake (17th) and Saul Phillips (24th) all produced personal best times in their swim to place them second in the team event. The honours this time, however, went to Matthew Henry, who won the individual national biathlon championships with the fastest swim time of the day, after placing sixth in the run. His team mates, Alexander Hepworth (8th) and Junior Heffernan (9th) helped to give them the overall team title in this age group. Youth A girls (17/18 years) ? yet another gold for Kelly College, with Flora Duffy (2nd), Sophie Reynolds (10th) and Sophie Stanford (15th).
