OKEHAMPTON faced a team who won promotion and their league last season, but the home side made sure nothing was certain in this match.
Both teams played well in the first half, with strong play restricting attacks at either goal. The first goal did not come until just before half-time and Okehampton were unlucky to concede it.
The ladies continued the battle in the second half and when they were awarded a free kick, Naomi Wilkins' superb shot defeated Plymouth's keeper.
Oak Villa became frustrated as Okehampton
continued to pile on the pressure. Good saves from the home keeper kept them at bay until Plymouth got a penalty to make it 2-1.
Okehampton fought on, and when Sarah Blowey equalised with a long-range shot spirits again soared. Despite Oak Villa getting another goal, Okehampton looked for an equaliser right up to the last minute.
