KELLY College Preparatory School have four qualifiers for the National Biathlon Championships in Bath.
Year six pupils Josh Boon, Harry Dunlop and Dan Gillard are ranked second nationally with both Josh and Harry capable of top ten finishes. In the girls' event Emily Ackford came through last terms qualifying competition at Millfield to also book her place at the finals.
Further success came from a group of year five and six girls who competed at the Dorset Biathlon Championships in Portland.
Despite wintery conditions Megan Jenkins, Ella Ellis and Rosie Crosby won gold in the team event with Megan finishing third overall and Ella recording the fastest swim.
Thea Crosby also completed the 100m swim and 1,000m run in an excellent 11th place, which helped the small team finish overall in the top school competition.
The Biathlon squad, supported by Tri-UK are now in training for future competitions.
