Okehampton Junior Netball League held its end of season tournaments for divisions one and two at Parklands Leisure Centre. All the girls (years seven to nine), say the organisers, are to be congratulated on their high standard of play throughout the season which has resulted in some closely fought matches. In division one Pretty in Pink dominated and were undefeated, winning all eight of their matches to gain a maximum 40 points. They were presented with gold medals whilst the silver medal winners were Jalapeno Hotties with 29 points. Starburst were third with 26, Black Magic fourth with 21 and Pink Panfaz fifth with 10 points. Player of the season was Kim Wonnacott of Pretty in Pink with Leah Williams of Black Magic, Poppy Chadwick and Lucy Henry of Jalapeno Hotties, Margaret King of Pink Panfaz and Abbie Davey of Starburst all tying for second  place. Clara Down of Black Magic was presented with a medal for most improved player of the season. In the tournament Jalapeno Hotties just edged out Pretty in Pink to take the gold medals with 18 points with the silver medal winners gaining 17 points. Star Burst were third with Pink Panfaz fourth and Black Magic fifth. In the division two Flip Flops were the more dominant side winning seven of their matches and drawing one to gain 38 points to take the gold medals. Dare Devils took the silver medals with 31 points. Super Seven were third with 24, All Stars fourth with 21 and Magic Seven fifth with 17 points. Player of the season was Izzy Weaver of Super 7 with Katie Neville of All Stars second and Jade Norris and Chloe Stanbury of Dare Devils in third place. The division two tournament had an exciting finish as at the final whistle there was a tie for first place between All Stars and Daredevils with both teams on 18 points and with goal differences of five. After a final play-off to decide the winning positions, the much improved All Stars came out on top to take the gold medals with Daredevils taking the silver. Flip Flops were in third place with Magic Seven fourth and Super Seven fifth. Poppy Anstey of Magic 7 was presented with a medal for player of the tournament. The league's annual meeting will be held at Parklands on Monday, May 12 at 7.30pm.
