SEVEN Jujitsu students from the Tavistock club went all out in front of a grading panel headed by sensei and third degree black belt Umberto Bergonzini and John Nolan and Charlie Bury.
For Ben Hosking and Joe Wheeler it was the first time and although nervous they performed well, passing and achieving the next level, eighth kyu which is represented by a yellow belt. Luke Handscomb, Chantal Challis and Hugo Challis were promoted to sixth kyu green belt one tab. James Byworth and Laurence Harrison fourth kyu, blue belt.
The grading panel was pleased by the performance and character demonstrated by everyone, beginners as well as more experienced students. Well done to everyone.
The Tavistock club will be running beginners classes for all ages at every session throughout the month of September.
