THE Ryu Ju Jutsu Association Tavistock Club is getting ready for the next round of grading examinations which take place at the end of this month.

The club is run by sensei Umberto Bergonzini, holder of a first degree black belt in the art of Ju Jutsu.

Many people think the black belt is the ultimate. Athough it is a great achievement it is only the beginning and Umberto knows this only to well.

Above the black belt there are another nine dan or levels and Umberto is constantly training hard to progress. During his last trip to Italy he took the opportunity to train with maestro Piero Rovigatti 8th dan GOJU Ryu Ju Jutsu.

Umberto says: ?Ju Jutsu or any other martial art is a constant learning process, one never stops learning, it is like a never-ending road.

?My aim is to continually improve myself in the art of Ju Jutsu and to impart my knowledge to my students who will hopefully one day pass their knowledge down to their own students.?

Umberto is confident his students will perform well at the grading examinations, maintaining the club?s 100% success rate.

The club meets on Tuesdays between 7.30pm and 9pm. Anyone interested in joining can contact Umberto on (01822) 618952 or come to one of the classes which are held in the dance studio at the Tavistock College.
