A TAVISTOCK Primary School pupil really had his day made recently when he was given a surprise gift by the town?s lollipop man. Josh Douglas, who lives at The Dell, regularly crosses Callington Road on his way to school, assisted by school crossing patrol officer Stuart Tremaine. Josh?s mother, Helen, said: ?They have a conversation every morning and every time, Josh says, ?Can I have your lollipop??? Now Stuart has presented nine-year-old Josh with his very own lollipop, much to the youngster?s delight. ?He was thrilled to bits,? said Helen. ?He gets dressed up and goes out on our street with it!? Stuart said he asked a friend to make the lollipop for Josh after his constant daily requests. ?He?s a lovely boy, they?re a really nice family ? I thought he would like it,? said Stuart. And he added that it was nice to know he had a stand-in for the very rare occasion he went sick!
