All the monies raised go to the cause of helping ex-service personnel and their dependents and with only eight per cent for administration it is a charity that ensures donations go where they are needed most.
There will be donation boxes in post offices, public houses and shops in the area but the personal touch of doorstep collection is considered vitally important.
