TAVISTOCK Rotary is inviting people to join the club for Christmas Day lunch in the United Reformed Church in Russell Street.

Celebrations will begin at 11.30am on Christmas morning, followed by the traditional Christmas turkey dinner and by the Queen’s Christmas message at 3pm.

Christine Ellis, lunch organiser, told the Times: ‘This promises to be a brilliant party. Thanks to Tesco Tavistock, the food will be superb. There will be lots of fun, singing and of course, the Queen’s speech.

‘As always, thanks to the generosity of the volunteers there will be no charge for the day.’
