HORSE riders are invited to take part in a Tamar Pleasure Ride in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support and Lamerton Hunt.

The ride, almost all off-road and following the River Tamar, is being organised by Mike Bickell, of Portgate, Lewdown, and will start at Lifton Farm Shop at 10am on July 19.

There will be optional jumps along the way, and the return route will be different — taking in Kelly, Milton Abbot and Bradstone.

Mike also rode alongside Dave Hocking on his charity walk on Sunday around the leafy lanes surrounding Bridestowe.

Dave hoped that 250 walkers would join him on the two routes of six or eight miles, to raise money for the Macmillan Cancer Support and Derriford Hospital's Oncology Unit, where he received successful treatment.
