IT'S time to boot up and trek several miles across Dartmoor to raise money for cancer nurses.
Dartmoor will play host to a 13-mile charity trek for Marie Curie Cancer Care in October, starting at Widecombe and walking over open, rugged moorland.
Events officer Matt Carruthers said: 'We raised more than £10,000 with last year's Dartmoor Mountain Challenge, so we're looking to break through that target for 2011.
'It's a fantastic event for anyone looking to keep fit, raise money for charity and experience one of the most idyllic and stunning locations in the South West of England.'
Registration for the event, on October 9, is £10 per person and every walker is set the challenge of raising £50 in sponsorship.
All money raised will go towards continued Marie Curie nursing care to terminally ill patients, completely free of charge in the comfort of their own home throughout Devon.
