THE?SUN shone on Callingon Carnival on Saturday which boasted the biggest amount of entries since its revival in 2009.
The event was a great success bringing the crowds out onto the streets to enjoy a colourful procession of 27 entries, both floats and walkers.
Carnival committee member Karen Gold said it was great to see entries from?South?Hill and Calstock as well as Callington and she hoped that would expand in the future.
The winner of the junior float and overall entry was Wacky Races by South Hill Community Fun Day, the best adult float went to Prim Raf for Robin Hood, Tanya's Childminding won the best junior walkers with Kids in America and the best adult walkers went to Jane Cornbill and Brenda McGrogan for 'Flower Power'.
