TEAMS from Mount Kelly took part in a nail-biting south west round of the National Science Quiz held at Millfield School recently.

The Mount Kelly teams competed against nine other schools with both groups holding the lead on a number of occasions.

As the competition moved into the final section both teams were well placed with one team finishing a splendid sixth, with a total of 1,420 points (Katie Ledger, Lamorna Wood, James Lamb and Oscar Oursin) and the other team racking up an incredible total of 1,715 points, winning the competition to progress to the semi finals early next year. 

The winning team were Emma Bowles, Jasper Oursin, Martha Miles, and Benjamin Searle.
