THE natural woodland amphitheatre in the grounds of Great Bidlake Manor, Bridestowe, is the setting for the return visit of Theatre Set-up, the London-based professional company, tomorrow, Friday, August 11 at 7.30pm.

'Antony and Cleopatra' and 'Much Ado About Nothing' were performed at Bidlake in 1998 and l999 respectively and this year 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' is the choice.

With Theatre Set-Up's 24 years' experience of presenting Shakespeare's play in historic sites, both outdoors and indoors, excellence of performance is again guaranteed.

They present the plays in the minimalist style of Shakespeare's own company, The King's Men, when they toured and performed in private houses in the late 16th and early 17th centuries.

Although 'A Midsummer Night's dream' is one of the most widely-performed plays of Shakespeare, this presentation has the added advantage of delightful music accompanying the first-class acting, and should be most enjoyable.

Performances will proceed regardless of the weather. Picnics are welcome, and bring your folding chairs or rugs.
