THERE is still time for landowners to put forward land which may be suitable for future development in Dartmoor National Park. The Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) is a process used by local planning authorities to identify land which may be available for residential or employment uses, and could therefore be a future area for development in a community. The main role of the assessment is to identify sites with potential for housing, employment and traveller use, assess their suitability and consider when they are likely to be developed. A public 'call for sites' to be considered under the SHLAA process began at the beginning of June and runs until 4.30pm on Friday, July 11.
