How to make the most of your bid

COMMUNITY groups in East Cornwall can take advantage of a free workshop on fundraising on April 30 at Callington Town Hall.

Organised by Cornwall Council in partnership with East Cornwall Council for Voluntary Services, the workshop will cover writing successful bids and the changes to the Big Lottery Awards for All grants. 

The session at Callington will run from 6.30pm to 9.00pm. There is also a session at Torpoint Council Chambers on April 23.

Alison Gibson, Cornwall Council's regeneration and grants officer, said: 'Community groups do a tremendous amount at a very local level and can tap into grant funding that's not available to councils. 

'Our workshops are designed to help voluntary groups develop their bid writing skills to give them the best possible chance of success in securing funds for their communities.'
