CHILDREN's Hospice South West — which provides care for children with life limiting illnesses and their families — has been chosen to benefit from a prestigious Devon art exhibition beginning later this month. Art @ Delamore — at Delamore House in Cornwood — will make a donation to CHSW from this year's event which runs from April 29 to May 31. CHSW supporters are being urged to visit the amazing event that will feature more than 130 leading sculptors and painters exhibiting fresh and exciting work, open daily from 10.30am to 4.30pm. CHSW Fundraiser Judy Pride said: 'The exhibition attracts artists from throughout the UK and has become a well known fixture in the local arts calendar. 'It's a wonderful opportunity to see lots of different art in a fantastic setting and help raise money for CHSW.' The magnificent gardens at Delamore are only open to the public during the show and are seen at their best during May with rhododendrons in full bloom. Visitors will be able to wander on the lawns where much of the sculpture is displayed, view over 120 paintings in the main gallery and visit Dartmoor's newest 'prehistoric' artefact — the incredible Cromlech. There will also be a special CHSW installation at the exhibition by local environmental artist, Yvette Martin. She will create a labyrinth and is asking for volunteers to help her gather branches from the estate which will form the tunnels over the labyrinth's path. Volunteers need to be fit and dexterous and able to make their own way to Delamore. They will be needed on Wednesday April 25 10am to 3pm and on April 27, 28 and 29. Art @ Delamore is open daily from April 29 to May 31 between 10.30am to 4.30pm.
