CHARITY lunches will be held at the Horn of Plenty during January and February in aid of the Children?s Hospice South West. The lunches will be held from January 18 to February 27 and it is hoped last year?s total of £4,500 will be smashed and at least £5,500 raised. Owner Paul Roston and masterchef Peter Gorton are giving guests at the Michelin star restaurant the chance to sample the same meal normally served, for only £10 per person. Lunch will consist of a starter and a main course, with canapes before the meal with a choice of freshly baked breads. At the end of the meal, an envelope is given to guests together with the bill for them to donate any spare change they may have for the hospice. Paul and Peter decided to support the charity after winning the award for six years in a row for the best restaurant in the ten pounds category from the 750 restaurants across the country that took part in the Financial Times charity lunches in aid of Save the Children. Early reservations are recommended on 01822 832528.
