ONE of the title favourites, Mainstone visited Tavistock Hire centre FC on the back of a 4-0 victory.

In a keenly contested first half both teams had chances to score with Mainstone hitting the post after five minutes.

Tavistock HCFC were denied a clear cut penalty when Dale Mullen was hacked down but the referee waved play-on. With ten minutes until half- time Dan Behennah broke from the left and laid the ball to Will Pike who calmly finished from ten yards out.

As the second half wore on Tavistock HCFC tired and were hit with two quick goals from Mainstone. With the defence marshalled by John Francis Tavistock were holding on. With eight minutes to go Tavistock HCFC broke with Will Pike laying the ball through for Lee Wickett to grab a deserved equaliser.
