CHILDREN from Harrowbarrow School have been given a safety boost, following the donation of 50 high visibility fluorescent tabards by builder's merchants Jewson of Tavistock. As part of an annual health and safety awareness day, Jewson look to support local causes in this area.
The tabards will be used by the junior children to make them as visible as possible to vehicles when walking the lanes and roads around the school.
Steve Wickett, branch manager from Tavistock Jewson, along with colleague Tom Sherrell, presented the tabards to headteacher Andrew Hunt and some of the junior pupils.
