IN the Okehampton Netball League Hi-Line showed that they were not going to give up on trying to take the top spot in division one with a strong win over Hatherleigh by 50 goals to 12. Hatherleigh had three of their main players away, but kept battling to the end. Players of the match: Katie Webber (HL) Amy (H). Phoenix pulled another good win out of the bag against rivals Hot Shots by 26- 16. The two teams that came up from division two last season showed each other that competition was as strong as ever. Poms: Scarlett Gearing (P) Lauren Ausden (HS). Speedwells had a competitive match as always against Magpies, winning a close contest by 42-32. Speedwells saw the welcome return of Beth Pengelly to stand in for part of the match, with Vicky Stephens supporting well in the attack. Poms: Vicky Stephens (S) Tricia Vernon (M). FBI continued to fight for points to keep them in the promotion spot for next season with a 48-25 against Red Devils. Poms: Zoë Colton (FBI) Chris Lethbridge (RD). Dodgers showed the other division two teams why they are flying away with the top spot this season with yet another win. Groovy Chicks kept on battling but to no avail with the final score of Dodgers 63 Groovy Chicks 17. Poms: Helena Peters (D) Leanne Drew (GC).
