AT two recent pony club tetrathlons the Spooners and West Dartmoor club were represented by Megan Groom from Horrabridge and Henry Ware from Sampford Spiney.

Both put in excellent performances at the event organised by the South Devon Moorland Pony Club at near Bovey Tracey, with Megan putting in a personal best swim which along with good shooting, running and riding scores saw her finish in second place overall in the minimus girls class.

Henry was equally successful in the novice mini class winning the best ride rosette on his pony Pepsi in the cross country section and finishing second overall in the individual placings.

At the North Cornwall Pony Club tetrathlon in Bodmin, Megan with another personal best swim was lying in second place overall in her class at the end of the first days competition, while Henry with personal bests for his run and swim was fourth overall in his class.

They both pulled out all the stops on the cross country phase with Megan on Robin and Henry on Pepsi winning the best ride rosette in their classes with faultless rounds.  Their riding pulled Megan up into first place overall and Henry up into third place in his class.
