SOUTH West holiday cottage specialist Helpful Holidays is sponsoring Britain's number one ladies' pistol shooter, Georgina Geikie, in her quest for a gold medal in air pistol and sport pistol shooting at the Olympic Games to be held in London in 2012.

Georgina, who has just competed at the Munich international airgun competition, also made British pistol shooter's history this year when they held their first .22 training session in the UK. It was the first since the ban was enforced in 1997 after the Dunblane massacre.

Helpful Holidays has agreed to sponsor Georgina, of South Tawton, for a four-year period right through to the 2012 London Olympics.
