PEOPLE in West Devon who have ideas for their community, but do not know where to go with them, are invited to the West Devon Communities Coming Together event next month.

This event is for anyone who wishes to discuss an idea or wants to get a local project off the ground but needs skills in marketing, fundraising and project management.

The event — Putting Ideas into Action — will take place at Bridestowe Village Hall on April 3, from 7pm to 9pm.

Local communities are often the best places to get things done, starting with sharing skills and information. West Devon CVS in partnership with West Devon Borough Council and the Community Council for Devon are bringing together communities with organisations and people that can support their specific needs.

The free event is open to parish council members, voluntary and community groups as well as individuals in communities who want to make a difference.

There will be a short presentation followed by an opportunity to think about what your community needs and information on where to go and who to speak to about putting those ideas into action.
