WHITCHURCH Pre-school has been given a generous boost to help with their fundraising efforts to replace the current building and enhance the pre-school facilities.
Staff and parents at the pre-school are busy fundraising in a bid to raise around £120,000 to replace the current portable cabin, which is now almost 40 years old.
To get them started, the pre-school received £1,000 donation from Cllr Debo Sellis on behalf of Devon County Council and another £991.90 from the Western Power Distribution Grant.
This money has enabled secondary double glazing to be installed in the current building to help with the challenge of maintaining the desired temperature for the pre-school children.
Cllr Debo Sellis said: 'I am very happy to support Whitchurch Pre-School, the children and staff need to be warm.
'I hope this will be of some help to the already friendly learning environment.'
Whitchurch Pre-School is a facility situated within the Whitchurch Primary School grounds but it is not directly associated with it.
To help with their fundraising efforts, the pre-school held the first of many Kidz Klobber sales last weekend at Whitchurch Primary School.
