A WEST Devon community bus service is holding a publicity event next week to allow people to talk to volunteers and highlight the scheduled services it provides.

The Tavistock Country Bus will be in Bedford Square, Tavistock, on Saturday, December 29.

Tavistock Country Bus is a scheduled public service with a set timetable and set routes and is supported by Devon County Council and Cornwall Council.

It was established to provide a public bus service to all citizens of Tavistock and the surrounding area, regardless of age, where commercial services could not operate for financial reasons.

Tavistock Country Bus is a registered charity formed 30 years ago and is staffed solely by volunteers and always looking for new drivers or co-ordinators.
