THE TAMAR Inn at Calstock has reopened after carrying out a deep clean and extra precautions to provide safety to staff and customers.

The pub took the decision to close earlier in the week after a customer who had been in the hostelry over last weekend tested positive for coronavirus.

On the Tamar Inn’s Facebook page the owners have expressed thanks to everyone for their well wishes and to their ‘Tamar Team’ for its fast reactions to track and trace and also the cleaning!.

‘We would also like to wish the customers that tested positive for Covid a speedy recovery,’ they said.

The steps they have taken to reopen are: deep cleaning of all surfaces, toilets areas bleached, track and trace phone calls, fogging (disinfecting) to all areas of the pub.

‘Thanks again for the support and if any places have a similar situation we are more than happy to help,’ said the owners.
