YEAR 11 pupils at St Joseph?s School in Launceston were overjoyed with their GCSE results.
The school notched an excellent pass rate with 87% A* to C grades, similar to the results gained last year.
The number of pupils gaining five or more GCSE passes at grades A* to C was 100%, again similar to last year?s results. A third of the results were either A* and A grades.
Headmaster Dr Alan Doe said: ?These are excellent results and are a tribute to the hard work of our pupils and the dedication fo our staff.
?I am convinced that our small class size and the individual attention given to the girls allow our pupils to perform to the best of their ability.
?These results are impressive as we are a non-selective school.?
Dr Doe said he was pleaed the achievements had been at all levels of ability and across a wide range of subjects. All the girls in Year 11 gained more than five GCSE passes at grades A* to C and the majority had more than nine passes to their credit.
