Tavistock B 6

Marjons E 2

THESE league rivals came together in a friendly at Kelly Astro.

After soaking up the early pressure new boy Josh Reynolds got the first goal of the day after some help from his fellow strike partners.  The game kept a similar pattern with the Marjons youngsters having good possession and Tavistock's defence working hard to stop them getting their shots away.

Tavistock again capitalised on the break through some quick team passing involving a number of players and Jon Woad slotting home from a yard. The third came just before the interval after some good team play from Curno, Edwards and Reynolds before Nick Andrews'  goal was ruled out after a foot infringement by the opposition. Reynolds stepped up for the resulting Penalty flick and coolly put the ball low to the keepers left.

Tom Allway and Tom Ball worked hard throughout the half, getting better with each match they play.

Tavistock got the first goal of the second half from Nick Andrews. Marjons rallied and scored from their own penalty flick after Glanville was judged to have stopped a goal bound shot.

Tavistock responded as Sam North scored with a strong shot between the keeper's legs.

This brought a good response from Marjons whose superior fitness was beginning to tell. Keeper Osborne and the defence of Cowan, Tosdevin, and Mason worked hard to get back to deny the visitors, but Marjons scored a well worked team goal.

Tavistock finished the game with a flurry as Andrews got his second of the game.
