THE Mount House Girls? First and U12 sevens hockey teams both won their matches against St Michael?s School in fine style in their final matches of the season. The whole of the first seven team deserved credit not only for a convincing 6-0 win but also for the spirit in which they played the game. Mount House kept possession for much of the game, controlling the play through some excellent passing which kept wingers Hannah Donne and Emily Redman busy. Every player was involved despite what the score might suggest, including the sweepers and Rosie Yeoward in goal. The outstanding player was Hannah Donne, who provided numerous crosses into the circle as well as scoring a goal herself. The other scorers were Fern Toynton and Emily Redman with two each and India Leigh. The Mount House U12s used the space on the pitch well to run out 8-0 winners. Mount House dominated the first half and were five-nil up at the interval with two goals each from Imogen Galsworthy and Poppy Hartley, and one from Phoebe Malcolm. The girls continued to play well in the second half. Phoebe added two more goals and the captain Ellie Hayward to complete a convincing victory.
