Duchy Premier Gunnislake 8 St Minver 0 JARRYD Kelly was the star man as he found the target five times in this fixture. Matt Avery struck twice with Nathan May completing the rout as their side scored at regular intervals. To their credit, bottom of the table St Minver kept going throughout and displayed an excellent attitude but were no match for Gunnislake who could have scored plenty more. Debutant Dave Henwood featured in the assists together with Stef Kelly, Stuart Wakenshaw, Nathan Dore and Mike Fitze. Altarnun 1 Gunnislake 4 FOR the first time this season management duo Steve Gaggini and Joe Pulley were able to play a full strength side. Gunnislake took the game to second in the table Altarnun and created numerous chances with the hosts offering nothing in return. Midway through the first half Gunnislake took the lead when Gaggini volleyed home in spectacular fashion from outside the box. Gunnislake pushed forward, looking to kill the game off and Andy Southcott cashed in on good work by Darren Sambells and chipped the keeper from 25 yards to make it 2 - 0 at half time. Altarnun after a roasting at half time came out searching for a way back and Steve Lee pulled a goal back. Gunnislake responded immediately and Southcott collected his second of the afternoon with a fine individual run and finish. Gunnislake were still not finished and on his return to league football Neil Kinger put the game beyond Altarnun with a 20-yard strike. This was a good all round display by Gunnislake and pushes them towards the top of the table. This Saturday the reserves welcome Delabole while the premier side visit St Mawgan with both fixtures kicking off at 2.30pm.
