HE has the reputation of being shy and retiring but, once on stage, blues rock musician, Larry Miller becomes a charismatic maestro of the guitar. Larry has been called ?the happiest blues guitarist in the business? and will be presenting his unique show at The Wharf, Tavistock later this July. Larry, who writes all his own songs, was destined to be a musician. When he was just seven years old, he started playing his brother?s guitar and, within a year, he had not only put together his first band, he had also written all the material for them to play! Larry was influenced by such great entertainers as Freddie King, Jimi Hendrix, Roy Buchanan, Gary Moore and Rory Gallagher. Gallagher became a personal friend and shared the cover of his ?Stagestruck? album with Larry. Described by some critics as the UK?s top, new blues guitarist, Larry and his band will be at The Wharf at 8pm on July 21. They will be supported by Blue on Black, a trio of musicians well-known for the high quality of their combination of blues and red-hot rock. A barbecue and late bar will be available from 7.00pm For more details, please contact the box office on 01822 611166.
