OKEHAMPTON Guides will be joining in a nationwide campaign to raise money for asthma on May 10.
A series of sponsored walks are being held around the country and Okehampton Guides will be setting off on a six-mile circular walk around the town from the Guide Hut at 6.15pm.
It is hoped the walks will raise £80,000 for the National Asthma Campaign which helps fund research into the causes of asthma and is the only independent UK charity dedicated to conquering asthma.
Guide Victoria Parkinson, 12, said everyone was excited about taking part and anyone wanting to sponsor the guides should call her on 01837 53774.
