PARENTS and children from the Forest Garden toddler group have celebrated Christmas the traditional way, by making holly and ivy wreaths.

The group was formed earlier this year in partnership with the Growing our Future project at Okehampton College. At the group's weekly sessions on Monday mornings, toddlers get to play in the gardens and learn about growing food and sustainable living in the process.

The group make the wreaths from all natural materials collected from the gardens and hedgerows.

The group will start meeting again after the Christmas break on January 9 at 10am. Everyone with young children is welcome to come alone. Call Shanti Smallwood on 07814 367964 for more details.
