STAFF and customers of Tavistock’s Superdrug store helped raise £477.48 for Marie Curie recently as the store took part in the charity’s Great Daffodil Appeal.

The store’s team worked together to raise funds through the sale of daffodil pin badges and customer collections.

Sally Jasper, store manager, said: ‘We had a fantastic time raising money for Marie Curie and importantly raising awareness of such a great cause. I’d like to thank all our customers for their generosity in helping to raise such a fantastic amount of money.’

Meredith Niles, fundraising director at Marie Curie, said: ‘Every year Superdrug customers and colleagues go above and beyond to help support Marie Curie and we’re continuously overwhelmed with the results. We can’t thank Superdrug enough for all its support over the years and look forward to working with them throughout the rest of 2017.’

Superdrug nationally has raised more than £2.5-million for Marie Curie during the partnership and fundraising activities will continue throughout the year, including the sale of limited edition products, including face wipes and tanning products. The money raised helps the charity to provide vital care and support to people living with a terminal illness and their families.
